Molly McKeown, PA-C Physician Assistant
As a physician assistant, I love using my abilities to help enrich my patients' lives. The most satisfying part of my day is connecting with them and seeing their quality of life improve.
Molly McKeown, PA-C, joined Desert Orthopedic Center after graduating from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, with her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. While in school, she had a special interest in orthopedic surgery and is thrilled to join the DOC team.
At Desert Orthopedic Center, Christopher works with Dr. Fayssoux and assists in various surgeries, including complex spinal reconstruction and minimally invasive techniques.Originally from Oregon, she completed her undergraduate degree in theatre performance at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, before moving to California. In 2008 she founded a non-profit dedicated to providing meals for the homeless in North County San Diego and currently serves on its executive board. Before attending PA school, she traveled extensively; she discovered a passion for medicine during those travels. This spurred her desire to return to school and join the medical community.
Molly works with Dr. Erik Schnaser in the clinic and OR setting, assisting in orthopedic diagnosis/treatment and various hip and knee surgeries. She is board certified by the NCCPA (National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants), is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and the California Academy of Physician Assistants. She endeavors to use her skills to improve and enrich her patients' everyday lives, ensuring they understand their diagnosis and treatment options. She desires to connect with her patients and improve their quality of life.
As a resident in the Coachella Valley, she enjoys outdoor activities, travel, art exhibits, horseback riding, yoga, and spending time with her family.
