Demeiko L. Sprewell (Demei), FNP-C Family Nurse Practitioner
My mission is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, treating each person like family. Guided by faith and supported by diverse clinical experience, I strive to build trust, listen closely, and deliver personalized healthcare that promotes healing and long-term wellness.
Demeiko L. Sprewell (Demei), FNP-C, is a Southern California native whose nursing career began in 2009 after earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Los Angeles Trade–Technical College. She launched her career in Brownwood, Texas, working in orthopedic medical, surgical, and telemetry care. Serving in a small, close-knit community taught her to treat every patient like family—combining faith, expertise, and compassion to build trust, listen closely, and deliver personalized care.
She later moved to the Dallas–Fort Worth area, where her passion for fast-paced, high-impact medicine led her to the emergency department. While working full-time, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Texas A&M University in 2017, followed by her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas Woman’s University in 2024.
During graduate school, Demei worked as a travel nurse, gaining diverse experience in emergency rooms, orthopedic surgery, and general surgery settings. These roles strengthened her clinical skills and deepened her commitment to patient care.
Now returning to California, Demei is excited to join DOC, eager to learn from her colleagues and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Outside of work, she enjoys fitness, travel, reading, creative writing, spending time with loved ones, and caring for animals.
