
Kirsten Contreras, PA-C Physician Assistant
Kirsten Contreras, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with Desert Orthopedic Center. She completed her PA education at the University of the Pacific and is certified through NCCPA. A Southern California native, she was raised in Beaumont playing multiple sports and leading an active lifestyle. For her undergraduate studies, she attended the University of La Verne and graduated with honors and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Biology minor. Kirsten participated in college athletics, playing four years on the university golf team. Following her undergraduate education, she began pursuing work in cardiac rehabilitation. During this time, she had the opportunity to work for the cardiology sub-specialty of electrophysiology. She completed specialized training through Loma Linda University and earned certification as a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES). Kirsten used this training to be able to assist in cardiac related procedures while working in Sacramento. Kirsten completed her physician assistant program at the University of the Pacific in Sacramento, earning a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree. She had the opportunity to learn at exceptional teaching facilities and develop an interest in orthopedics through managing patients in diverse clinical settings, from trauma to common orthopedic related conditions. Kirsten is thrilled to be working in the orthopedics specialty and contributing to the high-quality care provided to patients at Desert Orthopedic Center. In her free time, Kirsten enjoys golfing, paddle boarding, and riding her bike at the beach.
