Matthew Bartie, PA-C

I'm honored to have the privilege of being a part of my patients’ recoveries. I find it amazing to be a part of a collaborative partnership with my supervising physician to help ease painful conditions, regain functional capacities, and to assist patients in returning to their favorite activities.

Matthew Bartie has a double Bachelor’s in Psychology and Philosophy from California State University, San Bernardino and received his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona.

Matthew Bartie, PA-C, is a Southern California resident who studied and graduated with a double Bachelor’s in Psychology and Philosophy from California State University of San Bernardino. During Matt’s academic career, he spent 9 years working as a radiology transporter at Riverside Community Hospital. Through his patient care experience in the hospital setting, Matt developed an immense interest in healthcare delivery, patient advocacy, and the medical sciences. With newfound nspiration, Matt continued his post-baccalaureate education by focusing on anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, and microbiology. From there, Matt attended Western University of Health Sciences, in Pomona, Ca., where he graduated with his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Through clinical experiences, Matt developed a passion for orthopedics and surgical specialties.

As a Board-Certified Physician Assistant, Matt enthusiastically joined Desert Orthopedic Center in January, 2019. He is excited to work with Dr. David Savin; a fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow specialist, along with general orthopedist and fracture care specialist. Matt’s goal is to provide safe, effective treatments using team-based, collaborative care with Dr. Savin.

Matthew is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and California Academy of Physician Assistants.

In his free time Matt enjoys spending time with hi family, automotive mechanics, golf, Esports, and the cinema.
