McKelle Wilwand, PA Physician Assistant
As a physician assistant, I am devoted to helping my patients become the best version of themselves. I love working together with my patients to determine their hopes for the future and the best path forward to achieve their goals.
McKelle Wilwand, PA-C, joined Desert Orthopedic Center after graduating from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah, with her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS). She completed her undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.
McKelle is originally from Walla Walla, Washington, where her love of orthopedic medicine started. She grew up hearing stories about surgery from her father, who also works in orthopedics. During school, her training included orthopedics, emergency medicine, primary care, and internal medicine rotations. At Desert Orthopedic Center, McKelle is excited to work with Dr. Ghassan Boghosian in the clinic and the OR. She assists in various surgeries, including hip and knee joint replacements.
McKelle is currently certified by the NCCPA (National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants) and is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants (AAPA). She is also certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
In her free time, McKelle enjoys hiking, white water rafting, playing ultimate frisbee, and spending time with friends and family.
