Dr. Patrick St. Pierre GoalMy goal each day is to help patients alleviate pain, restore function and to stay active and healthy so they can stay fit for life.

Dr. Patrick St. Pierre has been committed to the study and treatment of shoulder and sports medicine injuries for professional athletes and our local Coachella Valley residents for over 25 years. He has served as the Medical Director of the Indian Wells BNP Paribas Tennis Open for the last 15 years, taking care of the best tennis players in the world.  In 2022, he was selected as the inaugural Head Team Physician for the AHL Coachella Valley Firebirds hockey team. Additionally, he has served as team physician for Army Athletics (West Point), Tacoma Sabercats (WCHL), Tacoma Rainiers (AAA Professional Baseball), Marymount University, COD and Palm Desert High School.

He is a nationally recognized shoulder expert and is the only Coachella Valley member of the prestigious Need Circle of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, recognizing life-long leadership and impact in shoulder surgery. Dr. St. Pierre is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. After completing his Orthopaedic surgery residency at Madigan Army Medical Center, he completed fellowships in Medical Research at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at West Point. He retired from the Army as a Colonel after 24 years of service. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.

Dr. St. Pierre is very involved in Sports Medicine and Shoulder research and has been recognized with several national and international research awards. He has developed several implants and techniques for shoulder and knee surgeries and is currently one of six design surgeons world-wide developing the Mako computer-assisted shoulder replacement surgery to be released in late 2024.
