Workers' Comp Overview
|
|
To help you better
understand the process Desert Orthopedic Center follows to treat Workers’ Compensation patients, we have prepared the summary
below which explains how to prepare for your appointment, what to bring
with you and how to schedule follow-up visits. Please take a moment to
familiarize yourself with the process.
Upon receiving the appointment request from your urgent/immediate care
center, Desert Orthopedic Center will attempt to schedule your appointment
within 24-48 hours.
You will be notified of your appointment date and time from the referring
center. Please notify our Workers’ Compensation department directly
at (760) 568-2684 if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment.
Important:
Please be sure to bring any films (X-ray or MRI) or other records you have
had previous to your appointment with DOC. You must obtain these from the
referring physician’s office/urgent care and hand carry them to your
appointment with us.
You will receive a copy of a DOCTRAK Work Status report from DOC to give
to your employer.
After your examination, the physician’s report will be sent to your
insurance provider within two or three days at which time requests are
reviewed for authorization for any additional tests, therapy, injections
or surgery.
Follow-up visits are scheduled after your appointment. |
