  Adrian S. Graff-Radford, M.D., F.A.C.S. joined Desert Orthopedic Center as a founding partner in 1980. His areas of expertise include knee arthroscopy and hip and knee replacement, including extensive experience in revision hip surgery.

Influenced by medicine early in life, Dr. Graff-Radford comes from a family of physicians. A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Dr. Graff-Radford received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and served his internship and general surgery residency at the University of Witwatersrand Hospital, where he was a lecturer in the department of anatomy and completed two years of orthopedic residency. He moved to the United States in 1976 and completed four years of orthopedic residency at UCLA.

A recipient of the prestigious John Charnley Award from the Hip Society of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Graff-Radford is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, a Fellow of the South African Orthopedic Association, and a Fellow of the Association for Arthritic Hip and Knee Surgery.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, California Medical Association and Riverside County Medical Association. He also is involved in clinical research projects relating to hip and knee replacements through the Desert Orthopedic Center Research Foundation.
