William (Bill) H. Hinds, MMS, PA-C
“When it comes to living a healthy lifestyle many parents and providers set expectations of their children and patients, but do not practice what they preach. That’s why I believe in leading by example.”
William (Bill) H. Hinds, MMS, PA-C has been an active health practitioner for the past 20 years. His early medical experience began when he obtained a certificate in Sports Medicine from San Bernardino Valley College. While working as a student trainer he gained experience in the treatment of athletes in all sports. Later he went on and became an assistant to the head trainer of the San Bernardino Spirit Single A professional baseball team of the Seattle Mariners. He later continued his education and earned an Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University. Working in the field of physical therapy for many years gave Bill valuable experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Wound Care. Treatment included caring for pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients. Throughout this experience he always had a desire to seek a higher level of education. As such, William went to California State University San Bernardino and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.
This was a stepping stone to his ultimate goal which was to become a Physician Assistant. In June 2006 Bill graduated from Midwestern University in Glendale Arizona with a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies and a specialty track in Orthopedics.
Bill is a member of the California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). As a Certified Physician Assistant the demands and requirements of maintaining his certification keeps him extremely busy. Attending courses and keeping up with the literature not only in orthopedics but also in primary care.
In his free time Bill enjoys spending time with his wife and children. They spend most of their free time at the river and beach.
